If you still believe in the old fashioned definition that women should be submissive to their husbands and devote their lives to having babies and their husbands…then you have learned nothing!
Many people, mostly men have preconceived notions about what a feminist is. Many think feminists are “just a bunch of bra-burning, hairy-legged, man hating LESBIANS!
(This is where you list the stereotypes): When asked what comes to mind when you think of feminists, people quickly began shouting unsavory characteristics such as:
- Ugly
- Bitchy
- Angry
- Boring
- Loud
- Annoying
- Butch
- Lonely
- Lesbian.
- Women who make the world worse
- Women who promote homosexuality
- Women who destroy families
- Women who destabilize society
- Rebellious wives
- Tramps
- Turned aside after satin
TRUE DEFINITION: Feminism is the movement whose goal is to make the social, political and economic rights for women equal to those of men; eliminating gender barriers, and overall pro-woman but not anti-male. They are not saying that men as individuals are the problem; the problem is the unquestioned power they receive because of their sex. Women’s worth in the world has to lead to a system that creates inequalities based on perceived gender differences.
Previously hidden art by women are beginning to re-emerge. Museums in the

o Women make 70 cents for every 1.00 men make.

· Human rights for all
· Eliminate gender disparities
WOMEN ARE HUMANS!
- Are underpaid or unpaid and that’s okay.
- What they look like is more important than what they do.
- If they get raped, it’s their own fault...due to the way they dress or even look at a guy.
- If they love women it is because they are incapable of getting a “real” man.
- If they expect community care for their families then they’re considered SELFISH.
- If they stand up for their rights they’re LOUD
- If they DON’T stand up for themselves, they are WEAK. (typical weak female).
- If they marry it’s only to trap the man.
- If they DON’T marry, they’re considered UNNATURAL.
- Because they aren’t deemed responsible enough to decide if when and how they give birth…they are FEMINISTS!
